Navicat Monitor overview

Navicat Monitor is a safe, simple and agentless remote server monitoring tool for MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL and SQL Server. It is compatible with cloud databases such as Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, Oracle Cloud, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure. It is server-based software that users open in a web browser, so they can track servers around the world, around the clock. A rich set of real-time and historical graphs lets users drill down into server statistics. These graphs give a detailed view of each server's load and performance, including availability, disk usage, network I/O and table locks.

The motto of my employer is "Markets never sleep". As such, I need to check up on our database instances from anywhere and at any time, day or night. To do that, my team mates and I have been using our iPhones. Navicat Monitor has been the ideal solution for that because it's accessible from any web browser. All we needed to do was install the software on our mobile devices and then provide the connection information for our monitored instance(s). We didn't want to install software on the servers because these are located in The Cloud (Amazon AWS). We can see all of the pertinent server metrics on the Dashboard. It was customizable enough for us to only include statistics that we are interested in. The latest version (2) supports Dark Mode, which is something I greatly appreciate! We have set up several thresholds that, when breached, triggers Navicat to send us an email so that we can address issues before they cause serious problems.
